May 21st: St. Christopher Magallanes and Companions
Group of 22 Mexican priests martyred for their faith by the Anti-Catholic Mexican government in the 1920’s.  This is a difficult story and not a lot of resources for children are available. I add this here, because I feel it is important to expose children to the idea of modern persecution, especially in light of what is currently happening with ISIS.
