October 1st – St. Therese of Lisieux
St. Therese was a cloistered Carmelite nun, raised by an incredibly holy family, who died from consumption at a very young age.  Her hallmark was doing her daily tasks humbly and with great love.  She is a doctor of the church.  Read more about her at Catholic Culture.
